Jonathan Pritchard
Jonathan Pritchard, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Departments of Genetics and Biology at Stanford University. His research interests lie in the study of human evolution, in particular, in understanding the association between genetic variation among human individuals and human traits. He also developed the STRUCTURE algorithm for studying population structure. In this oral history, Jonathan describes his career path and interactions with many influential population geneticists. He provides insights about significant large-scale, human genetic variation projects, such as the HapMap Project and offers his thoughts regarding exciting, future scientific research.
