On January 22, 2014, the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) sponsored the eMERGE Network Workshop - Future Directions for the eMERGE Network - at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda in Bethesda, Md. The workshop brought together eMERGE principal investigators (PIs) and workgroup co-chairs, the eMERGE External Scientific Panel (ESP), and external experts in key areas of genomic medicine to review the current goals and accomplishments of eMERGE and suggest future directions for NHGRI to consider as the possibility of an eMERGE Phase III approaches. Dan Masys, M.D., Ph.D., University of Washington, chaired this workshop.
