Biography
Rebecca Hong is a scientific program analyst for the Policy and Program Analysis Branch (PPAB) at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). Her responsibilities in PPAB include policy analysis, policy development, coding and reporting, workshop development, and project management. The focus areas of her work are FDA regulation of genomic technologies and U.S. science policy legislation. Rebecca also serves as NHGRI's liaison with the NIH Office of AIDS Research and helps coordinate annual budget requests for HIV/AIDS research funding.
Ms. Hong graduated from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 2015 with a B.S. in science, technology and international affairs, with a concentration in global health. Previous to this position she held several policy-related internships including one on Capital Hill and another with a prominent lobbying firm in Washington D.C.
